Who would be the audience for your media product?

The audience for my FMP would be aimed for students aged around 16-19. I personally I don’t think they should be a certain age rate for my film because your too young or old to watch it. It’s a unisex film so basically boys and girls because it’s not particular focus on one gender. My audience would be student filmmaker who has an interest of watching films and TV. For myself I don’t have years of experience like the professional filmmaker although, I want to bring my skills and creativity into the media industry.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I’m now capable of using the camcorder and the tripod because before I started this project never actually held before or like setting it up and putting it away. Adobe Premier Pro has to be the most hardest and challenged software that I have used before. I leant how to edit footages and know different key elements for which makes a film achieve successful like colours, audio and storytelling.

During the process of my project, I came across problems I that have to face for example render. Every time I tried to render out footages, the resolution is always low e.g. 240 or 360p or the audio becomes loud then disappear.

This has to be most challenged project I did my life. I never been this determined and interdependent because the main purpose of this project to choose a topic of your liking and able to present to your chosen audience. At first I thought this was going to be easy because I choose what I want to do. In the order hand, I’m usually a team worker like share ideas around your group and so on. There were a few major problems that I faced that will affect the entire project on this day.

The first one was copyright. My first actual idea was making a documentary of my childhood cartoons and my teacher said something about permissions and copyright of certain cartoons. I have to phone the company if you use their footages then I thought to myself that will take a long time to contact and it was too long to continue.

The second one was filming permits. For the particular actually cost me a lot filming that I lost. I went to their website they said for certain areas to film around the city I need permits from the council. I lost two weeks of filming because I tried to contact them and they said I need insurance and labelled company. After that I went around the city and film with extra caution. The good about this procedure is the experience. Now I know if I want to film around the near future, I need permits before filming to avoid trouble from the police or the pedestrians.

I’m proud of my project because I can call my project (or Eniola’s project) I didn’t rely on anybody it was just me in solitude with my ideas and skills. If I had the change to anything, it will be the time-lapse. I think time-lapse films are genially aimed for group’s not solo acts. They can get ten locations in one day whereby it will take me two locations in one day.
