My FMP idea is making a short documentary asking students about their childhood cartoon or make short movie about cartoons the inspired me when I was young. This’s not my final idea but I have to search on short movies and documentaries of techniques of how their make it successful.
My teacher said that the feature film have to ten minutes. I know that is not going to be right. I decided to make it at least 5-7 minutes. I’m not trying not to make the film boring but interesting.
The reason I chose this idea because I want to show the audience that back then, they made better cartoons then today. They had adult humours (Hidden for children viewers) Secondly, is relevant to film & television so I don’t have to change to a different subject that I won’t enjoy. Lastly, their fun to watch cartoons (depending to age rate) everyone must see, heard and know about cartoons. I’ll be so surprise how much research about secrets about interesting of cartoons.
I have only have two months to make the short film to make it successful.
Another idea that I could use is a montage of cartoon shows that I enjoyed. I think this idea isn’t common when it comes to filming, instead I could just use random clips, edit it into a few seconds and create under ten minutes. Before I choose my idea, I need some inspiriting (just to get my flow of ideas in place) it comes be films, games, and graphic novels and generally cartoon TV series.
Due to complications (Copyright) I can’t process with my idea but at least this shows that I’m a creative thinker in short time situations. Also, I need permission for using their footage and that will cost a lot of time and possibly be still stuck with my FMP idea.
